student  :shy: ... but im working on placement as a stylist at a small supercar company based in Newmarket called Arash (theyre in this months Top Gear mag).

im currently in charge of redesigning about 90% of their current car (not allowed to change the moulds for the front and rear clamshells as that would be too expensive), and if all goes to plan, it should be at next years Geneva Motor Show

why can't I get a job like that - oh wait - I'm not clever enough  :shy:

I fix boilers. Decent well paid secure job. I enjoy it still after 20 years. Lots of cups of tea and meet different people all day from all walks of life, who, most of the time are happy to see me. A bit of driving involved, the ipod helps with that.

This is true. I was a manger in McDonalds before and although that just was a bad stigma attached to it I liked it a lot more. No day was ever the same and I liked people able to talk to the customer. Its boring spending 8 hours a day stood in the back of a lorry by my self haha.

Slight change of career this year, gave up the stressful long hours in garage management, I'm still in the motor trade but now working as a vehicle tech in a Subaru main dealer and loving it, no real stress and my health is noticably better for it too :D

Am positive I saw your car driving around Suffolk a couple of weeks ago? Yellow thing? Looks like a Lambo crossed with a Noble and sounds epic?

may have done mate, do a search for 'Arash AF8' on google and see if it looks familiar... it was on the london leg of the gumball rally a few weeks ago, and its at goodwood this weekend.... bloody ugly thing haha. theyve brought me in to try to make it not ugly, but he wants to aim it at the Arabic market, and we all know what the style is over there  >_<

I spent 20 years as a project engineer in the tobacco business, started off with making and packing equipment - some of our makers capable of making 16000 cigarettes a minute....hydraulics, pneumatics and for the mostpart software engineering. From make pack moved to green leaf operations and primary production , looking after cut tobacco productions.

Moved over to specialize in heavy drying for the tobacco and other industries - gas turbine commissioning - superheated steam installations 100 bar and 600C, turbines and alternators in the 40-50 megawatt range

Approved integrator for Siemens and specialize in Industrial process control

Now living in Indonesia and travelling less - own shares in the first company to produce cider in Indonesia and buy and sell superbikes as a hobby.
