Was a Mechanical Engineer for five years, when I finished my training passed all the exams etc etc I joined BT, been there for over 25 years now, good thing on BT is you do get to do different jobs as the years pass by but the money is poor.

ive just become a qualified Auto technician at an Aston Martin specialist, love working on the cars. been working on most of the high end vehicles such as Bentley, Lamborghini, Porsche, Ferrari etc. but part of me wants to do something different. I love a challenge but jobs ive been interested in E.G. precision engineering want someone with experience but how do i get that experience without getting the job?
always hated the saying "follow your dreams" or "if you try hard enough you can do it". i really wanted to be a mine clearance diver but just before applying i was told i was colour blind and the army doesn't need me. apparently i don't know when red turns to brown? ive done loads of wiring faults at work and plenty outside of work but i guess am "just not cut out for it"
am a fast learner and i always try my hardest but sometimes its "just not meant to be".
bear.
