Just looked at the Accuspark "Stealth Black Box", which is similar to the Aldon Amethyst except it doesn't have a vacuum or TPS or boost input (depending on which model you get) to advance the ignition under partial load, plus the Amethyst will calculate the dwell automatically (you can enter it manually if you so wish).

So I'd say if you were contemplating the "Stealth Black Box" then have a look at the Aldon Amethyst.  It is more expensive though....

I've got the Accuspark blackbox on my car. It's nice being able to have the original distributor and being able to hide the unit and make adjustments if necessary.

I haven't had much chance to play with the adjustment yet but it's worked well so far. It's also easier than sending off your distributor to be re-curved (and finding the right springs etc) and it's also very easy to make changes in the future, or on a dyno. You can also make curves that are not possible with mechanical advance. The rev limiter can come in handy too. There's no reason you couldn't keep the existing vacuum advance as long as it's working properly.

You'd still want to add in an electronic points set to get rid of the normal issues with points..

They are still available in Australia, I think the local distributor is getting stock from the manufacturer?
