Was watching the mighty minis at brands this weekend and was wondering how to blooming hell they get 998 minis to 115bhp, is it something that is possible to be done at home at not a huge cost? would love my little 998 to be that fast! So what im really asking is what mods are needed to get to this bhp or even close?

There not 998's

From mightyyminis.co.uk :-

5.2.1 There are two classes within the Championship:

Class A - Mighty Minis

Standard 1.3 SPi engine specification apart from the modifications permitted within the regulations. All aspects of

the technical regulations must be complied with.

Class B – Super Mighty Minis

Modified 1.3 SPi engine specification as outlined within the technical regulations. All aspects of the technical

regulations must be complied with.

It would. No longer be a 998 if you could get 115 bhp out of it

i thought 115bhp sounded a bit high, but thats definatly what the commentator said at brands on saturday... Definatly said 998, 115bhp and they are 10bhp higher than a standard 1275. knew it was too good to be true :(

You cant, a stage one kit will help but not major gains cheapest power is to get a mg metro 1275. Otherwise you will need to get the head ported and polished oversized bores and pistons new exhaust system new cam to get the most power all of which isnt cheap

Hi Carlo

Your thinking of the mini se7en championship
http://www.mini7.co.uk
If your serious and want an engine of this spec and they are very powerful more so than the mighty minis 1300 and can offer an amazing straight cut gearbox better than the famous Jack Knight you will need to contact Mr Rob Selby at http://selbyengineering.com let him know Shaun Tarlton put you in touch.
