Look out for the programme "For the Love of Cars" tomorrow night 8pm Channel 4. All about the Mini Cooper.

Mine is going to be on, Driven by Phil Glennister on the snake pass and around Derwent Waters. He was driving whilst interviewing a very nice couple, about their love of minis.

They are restoring a Downton tuned MK1 which they seem very fond of......who can blame them!

Many thanks John, very nice mini you have there I am a big fan of white minis with black roofs!

They had this programme on quest yesterday with Brian Johnson, it was called cars that rock or something?! But I only tuned in for the last few minutes as I had missed the first showing also  :(

Was pretty neat though he even bought the 1964 Mini Cooper he was driving around Brands Hatch!

Also look out for mister bridger's red Mk1 in the skating scene and Speedy, our Mk1 makes a couple of appearances too :-)

We helped out with the 'reveal' at Millbrook which was a great laugh.  Driving round the bowl and up and down the alpine route was brilliant - shame I was in an 850cc so crawled up the alpine route, being overtaken, but it all added to the Mini camaraderie :D

Here's Speedy in one of her scenes, with the lovely Tony Ball (if you looked closely at the end of the last episode, you could see her in both her scenes):

You can catch it again on Quest tomorrow at 6.00pm and on Monday at 7.00pm. I think it's the best Mini programme that I've seen and well worth a watch. Henry, our red RSP makes a number of small appearances :-)

Henry was on fine form! Was pleased to spot Tommy at Brands this afternoon, was parked up nearby and kept an eye out for you to say hello when we were near the cars, but didn't spot you. Maybe catch you Sunday if you're about. Tommy is how I'd like my cooper to look when he grows up and stops looking so scruffy ;)

Quality! Loved all the Minis! Wish I had the cash for a mk1 cooper! I'll make do with my 85' Mayfair for now though :D

I thought i saw in one of the shots of the shell as stripped and the rh inner sills you could see daylight..and how did they establish it was a Downton engine.
Also the reg number was weird, I assume the I was really an L.
Great car and a really entertaining program.
Well done Ch5
