Is it me or is the hole that the hose or pipe goes into on this housing is bigger


Is the one above bigger hole than this one


I have an spi block and ATM I have the filter housing ( bottom picture ) but the oil cooler braided hose don't fit it

This is the hose I have both hose ends are the same size

The lower housing looks like an older type with the tapered thread, think thats 1/4"NPT.

Yeah that the one I have now and the cooler hose don't fit

The filter heads on the later 1275 engine ( last of the carbs and SPi ), ie those fitted with the compression fit pipe, are different to the previous ones which use the pipe with the banjo joint on the block.

Okay so I take it the pic at the top is the one with a bigger hole for pipe

Also I can find adaptor to go to my hose to my filter head wich is the lower pic

Also a quick one who knows the hose thread the end that goes onto the cooler

Nah isn't that as the end of the hose is male threaded not female

Upper pic is the end of the hose
