when i posted a question about why my LED interior light wouldn't work i got allot of replies so i thought it would be worth while posting my solution :)

the problem was the led bulb will only light up when current passes through them correctly, unfortunately the carrier is set up a bit backward for led bulbs :L

useing standard clips and a bit of fileing i redirected the earth

the clips are ideal because they insulate the old tab from contacting the positive point on the bulb, but one side the plastic needs cutting of to make more room when the bulbs in

then i souldered a wire to the positive tip of the bulb, with a male clip on teh end for the cars positive feed to plug into

popped the bulb in and presto, crisp white light for my mini :D

hope seeing this helps people out :)

these look identical but are not from the same seller anymore

there are so so many to choose from, types and sizes ect, but these fit and I'm happy with their performance

Would it not have been simpler just to switch the positive and negative wires running to the housing ?

i had it like that for a bit but i had to turn the light on manualy because the door switches wouldent turn it on like that :(
