Looks like fuel more than anything else. The car takes some turning over before it starts so timing issue i would say.

Should start quicker than that and smoother, best bet as Neil says, reset the timing and see what happens.

When you advance the timing does it start a lot quicker? From your vid it took way too long to start. Could it just be that fuel is being chucked in and when it eventually ignites it results in this smoke? Do you know if your mixture is set correctly as well?

i did think this but it is set from what is advised in the haynes manny - 5 degrees at 1500rpm with vac adv off.

 

the car has been sat for a week or so in my garage so it could of been fuel travelling through the lines that caused the delayed start??

 

i will do the timing by ear and then check where it snds good on the gun
