Very big thank you to the man who came and helped modify the doors and who is going to make the moulds and doors. Would have been a nightmare without his knowledge.

hows it going pete is it done yet? have you got yourself another project yet?
Put simply, no and no.
Haven't done much recently due to lack of time and enthusiasm. C**p time at work at the minute so when I get home can't be bothered.
Did do some Today though and will hopefully keep doing little bits each evening now to get it finished. Spent ages the last few weeks trying to get the bonnet, grille and filler neck(mounted into bonnet) to line up and it was certainly worth the effort as it looks spot on. Will post some pics once Andys painted the bonnet.

Haven't spoke to him for a while so don't know where we are with the doors. Not a major problem as we've still got plenty to do.
Haven't actually seen the shell, only pics which I had seen before.

Then finished all the brake/clutch lines under the car so was able to sit it on it's own wheels for the first time.
Bonnet is'nt bolted into place as it still needs the white stripes adding and then laquering to finish it.

looking goodActually got some work done this week. Decided to modify the clutch to cable instead of hydraulic to match the engine. Not too hard a job modifying the pedal to suit but just meant that I had to remove it all again and Andy has to repaint the bulkhead now we've filled the hole where the clutch master cylinder would normally be. Also got the wiper motor mounted inside the car to keep the bulkhead clear.
