Andy and Pete, what can I say, an awsome car!! I saw it going up F.B Lane today past the park, I'd forgotten how small a minus is, and it looks and sounds beautiful. The only problem, my son wants it instead of mine now, lol.

You'd have loved it if you'd have seen it where I did, just coming up over the brow of a hill around a bend, perfectly flat as it cornered, yummy.

Andy/Pete, credit to you both, i had a good look around this car at the IMM, and it is flawless, well done :)

Just out of interest where did you get the switches/dividers from for the lights etc?

Cheers for the comments guys. Still a couple of small areas we aren't happy with but just letting Andy drive it whilst we have dry weather and then it will be back in the garage over winter to be finished. Andy had been away for the weekend and was suffering withdrawal symptons so finished work early Monday so he could get home and have a drive. He's hoping to take it to Castle Coombe for the MiniWorld day to give it a thrash around a track. He's still not using all the engine revs as I set the rev lights low while he gets used to it. Might change them one day :) .

Bananaman - if you live around that area and you or your son fancy a passenger ride just let me know. Andy is always up for driving it so should be able to arrange something for you.

Drayton mini man - switches and dividers came from car builder solutions. http://www.nfauto.co...roducts_new.htm . Can't see them on the internet but if you download the catalogue they are in it.

As Ade has said, unfortunately this one isn't mine. It is being built for a friend who saw Ade's and just had to have one. The colour is a honda red. The guy that owns it is a paint sprayer and spent all day just polishing the bulkhead :D . Other than the paintwork I will be doing it all myself.
As for the pickup, it sits in the garage collecting dust while undergoing some very major rebuilding. I was never happy with it so decided I will be takeing it apart to do it again. Exact plans are still being sorted(hopefully going fibreglass) but the only definate thing is that it won't be green and purple. Still in one bit at the moment so I can go round the block and just keep reminding myself why I built it :w00t:

Going rate for me to build a z-cars mini. NOTHING :dontgetit: . I just like building them and after each one they keep getting better. Shame I did my own first

got a pick up myself, looking at doing the z cars conversion, how much was it to get the pickup done, al the work minus engine,

i was looking at doing front engine rear wheel save cutting out major lumps of the bed, my mate had this done and he's just sold his,

any info on doing / converting / costs / on the z - cars pickup up would be really really appreciasted

cheers

Beautiful Car! I don't want to thread jack but I am interested in the wheel and arch combination. Ive found the arches on absmotosport.net... Im over in the states and wondered if anyone has done business with them or is there somewhere else i should go? I am very interested in the wheel and tire combo. What size are they? Are both front and rear sets the same size? Thanks and great work on it, I hope mine will look half as good when im finished!
