Good news is that it only failed on a few little things mostly relating to radiused edges. Front and rear lights too low and emissions way too high. About a days work and a trip to the local mot centre to adjust the emissions. Aiming for retest within 2 weeks.
Noise limit passed by 1 decibel using 2 exhaust cans and a cat.

Arrived at sva centre 8am and had all the whole test centre to ourselves.

Adjusted the front shocks to raise the front indicators as they only needed to be slightly higher.

there is nothing straight forward with these sva tests grrr. i built a dax rush a while back and i was at the bishopbriggs sva test centre in glasgow for 7 hours. and the only thing he could find wrong was the speedo was 5mph out but that is all water under the bridgeTried that when we got home but the rears need to go up by about 6cm so would look a bit silly. Decided to cut the holes higher and then fibreglass up the holes left under the lights. Just means Andy will have to repaint the back end again.
Adjusted the front shocks to raise the front indicators as they only needed to be slightly higher.

I think we were lucky with the speedo reading because we have fitted the sensor to the front wheel. He wasn't able to test it in the rollers because it requires the engine to drive the wheels. He drove it around the building and said that works ok but I would recommend checking it with a sat nav when you get it on the road just to make sure.
We were very happy to come away with such a small and simple list of fail points. Could have been a lot worse.
