I have a 1989 Mini Mayfair and would like to swap out the engine with something a bit more powerful. I've never done this level of work on a car and think this is the right car to learn on. I want to stay with the A-series engine. I plan on this being a quicker road car, I wont really be doing much tracking. I'm at a bit of a loss. Can anyone give me some suggestions on the following:
1) Resource with a guide to doing an A Series swap?
2) Cheapest reputable place to get a decent engine
3) Idea of what is needed (parts) to get this done?
I live in Germany and will be moving the the USA in a few months so I need to source all of my parts out of the UK.
