How Do You Install A Tachometer

Hi there i have a 1996 rover mini with the 2 clock dash, the one without a tachometer, and i want to install a Tim taco this one

is there a easy way to connect a taco to my car as i just really want one.

The signal and power cables will already be in place, you just need to arrange an earth and hook up the lighting. Use a 52mm gauge pod and it will be a very easy installation.

A lot cheaper at Mini Spares for the same thing. Probably better serviced too.

TIM also do an 80 mm tacho in a mounting binnacle for a similar sort of price and that is much easier to see.

I bought the TIM011 from minispares (and totally not because my name is also Tim). It came with a wiring diagram and connections.

 

Make sure you have a really good earth - mine needs changing as it causes the needle to bounce around a bit.
