hello all

I have taken the carb off today and started having a look inside the float chamber..i have taken a picture of the jet assembly and

it doesn't look right. .  there is a metal ring around the plastic bit at the bottom, does anyone know if it should be that far down?

I don't think anybody has said this yet. Seeing as you temporarily fixed the problem by cleaning the carb, do you have a filter fitted and are you running low on fuel in the tank (supposedly where all the sediment is)

hi all

manage to get the car running again over the weekend after giving the carb a good clean..there was a quite bit of dirt in the fuel feed pipe on side of carb.

fitted a new service kit and put everything back together..and now the car running sweet! i can only think it was the dirt in the fuel pipe could had been the problem so im going to fit a inline fuel filter,, many thanks for the replies as they have been

helpful,,
