I am making good progess on my project now however I'm coming to a stop as all the tools I plan on buying are on air compressors and I want to spray my mini myself.. However I know nothing about them. Soo I'm just asking on reviews on what people have had and if they're worth it or not. With that let me know if you want to get rid of one yourself.

Bigger is better here. At a minimum 100 ltr and 3 hp. This will be enough to run most air tools. However when it comes to spraying you won't be able to use this for spraying and providing breathing air.

 

You may also find you will have to upgrade your electrics to run the compressor especially for initial start. I have mine on a separate circuit with a 20 amp Mcb breaker.

Don't scrimp on this. Good advise from sonikk4. You don't want to pull the trigger on the spay gun & all the airs gone. Get a decent capacity & supply.

Ok thank you what would you suggest for spraying then? I was going to go for a minimum of 100l and that power but I don't know about what makes n that? Thanks

it noisy as well but does everything i want from it. I will use it for spraying but i have another compressor than can be used for breathing air.

Ahh yehh I see.. That's exactly what I need like something portable. So what's this with the breather? I havnt sprayed before was going to look into it closer to the time but now it's here could you explain please?

Do you mean the breaker?? on start up it draws a lot of current and will trip a standard 13 amp socket / fuse / circuit breaker. I installed a separate circuit with a stand alone 20 amp Mcb. This takes the start up draw without tripping. I also have this circuit installed for my spot welder as well.

Ahh I see ok then.. Soo what compressors would you suggest? I've been looking a a good few but they have no reviews so I don't want to get one that isn't up to what I need

I have used this with a da sander and although it works hard it doesn't drop pressure, also used for spraying and with an airfed mask.
When using airfed though I have a devilbiss mask with correct filtration and only use a devilbiss sri pro spraygun as it's air consumption is low, I also lowered cut out pressure on compressor to 8 bar under recommendation of a compressor specialist to help reduce heat build up and although it runs approx 50% of the time in this application I have had no issues and never had the whistle on the mask go off. If I needed to use a full sized gti pro spraygun I would need to run two of these compressors but I have easily painted a full mini with my gun as it has a very good fan pattern and you can get larger cups for them.

I bought one of these last year as a general air tool compressor and I've been really impressed. Especially at the price...

this sound good as well and yeh I do like the price on that one hahaha,, have you ever sprayed with this compressor? This is the main reason I'm buying one.. Along with the tools haha

I use it for spraying blocks and heads with a small HVLP no issue, and it's bigger in tank and CFM to the one I sprayed my mini with many years ago.

 

I also use it for air drills and high speed die grinders and copes well with them and tey are very air hungry. Don't think it would cope well with blasting tho'

Ok then that's great then thanks.. Ill have to look into that one then. Where would you recommend getting tools for them?
