As this comes up here on TMF here are the prime reason why you should not replace Fuses with Circuit Breakers.

Circuit breakers are less reliable than fuses (especially when the breaker is mounted in the harsh environment under the car bonnet).

Quality fuses have a solid element (no solder connections) and will almost never have an intermittent or poor electrical connection. A circuit breaker will eventually have higher contact resistance than when it was new

Once a fuse blows a owner of a vehicle will stop putting fuses in eventually, where as a circuit breaker if reset contunially can do damage to the breaker internally or cause a fire.

Circuit breakers are not normally used on anything with sensitive electronics on a car as the trip time unless a expensive breaker is used is longer than a fuse blowing.

If you fit circuit breakers and you have a fire your insurance is most likely invalid

So thats why manufactures fit fuses, I'm sure there could be a breaker made but the cost against the fuse is solving a problem that is there mind do not exist
