I have heard the quality of the metal is similar to that used for drain covers.....

bit uncalled for?!

 

Why's that uncalled for?

 

It's the truth, and I'd be pretty happy to know that the metal is of a similar quality to drain covers. 

 

I thought the engines were assembled at the same place the cars were assembled. And they would buy in the separate components for building them.

Haha I run a series in all my minis and would never do an engine swap! I was just saying I read that somewhere! :D

Innocenti in Italy, Authi in Spain and BMC in South Africa and Australia all assembled the A-series engine.
