Hi guys, don't think this has been put up this year yet, at York Raceway on the 20th of April there is a drag racing event for minis and beetles.
I will be going and I think "DexisWolf" is also thinking about it. Sounds to be a good day, never been before to this event or even this raceway, so don't quite know what to expect The website isn't too great, I think tickets are 15 quid, and I think its the 20th april, but have a look for yourself and post up on this if you think different. http://www.yorkracew....uk/events.html Sort out your own tickets, im not organising anything, just thought it worth a post up to let people know its happening.
 

This said me and Dec will probably meet up in the Sheffield area somewhere and go down together, Just going to be a sat nav rout so don't expect any spectacular run but its always nice to have a convoy, I will look into times, meeting locations and so on a little closer to the date, The more the merrier, all welcome :)

Im heading up to the Specialist Cars of Malton Breakfast meet that sunday morning for 8am :) usually a great turn out and a massive variety of cars go aswell, its free to get in, finishes around dinnertime and theres food!

 

Last year was the same and was the same day as MVB which I went to, personally I thought £12 entry was a tad expensive and there wasn't a great day of minis or beetles racing. I was dumped in the normal car park where I also spotted a few other minis aswell (apparently after speaking to another member we should have been sent round to park with the rest of the minis and beetles nearer to the strip).

 

I found it more to be a RWYB day to be honest and was massively disappointed so we'r having the afternoon in Scarborough this year .

 

Do hope its a better turn out this year for MVB!

Heya, in case anyone was thinking of convoying with me, im no longer going to mini vs beetle as ive had a crash and my car is now off the road. Sorry. James.

Sounds like this is gonna be another epic turn out. Ahhhh well I'll be there melting my clutch waving a rusty flag in this mini WWII reenactment!!
