What would you guys use at the outlet of a 3psi solid state facet pump as a kind of gasket?

It is leaking where you need to screw in those unions

It is leaking a drop of fuel every few hours atm..

I'd use ptfe tape, I'm sure it is alright to use on petrol connections.

+1. Ive been using a facet pump like this for over a year now, just be careful fitting the unions as they are brass i think and will break if overtightened.

Where exactly is it leaking?  Are you saying it is on the threads or somewhere else?

The Teflon (PTFE) tape suggested above will work.  However, make sure both the male and female threads are dry and free of fuel first.  The Teflon doesn't get damaged or anything by the gasoline but it does become a bit harder to work with when wet with fuel.  Make sure you do NOT run the tape all the way up to the tip of the male threads.  You don't want to cast off any threads of Teflon that might get caught in the pump or downstream at the carbs.
