I'm fairly sure that profile will to too high for a Mini.

Aren't they normally 55 profile?

As said i think that is a little to high.

I run on 175/50/13 and that is perfectly fine.

Originals are 50s. But wasnt sure if 70s would fit.

They will not fit as the diameter with the 70% profile is simply too great. The only 70% tyre which will fit is a 145/70 x 12 or a 165/70 x 10. In fact both of those are better than a 13" wheel./tyre combination for a Mini.

I believe they will hit the radius arm mount on a 13" wheel with anything larger than a 55 profile tyre

On a 7" wide wheel 13" diameter, a 175 tyre is needed, thus it has to be a 175/50 x 13 in order to fit a Mini.

A 175/60-13 tire will fit on a Mini - I have them and have driven on them daily for commuting as well as long tours. But it is very, very close on the rear radius arm. So it's possible some oversized 175/60-13 tires would foul.

When you get that close to the body the tyre make is important. It's not as easy as saying a 175/60/13 will fit. All makes have different mould shapes, some are more square at the shoulder than others of the same size. If the shoulder is very square it will hit sooner than one with a more rounded shape.

Such tyres are good if you only go only on a straight line, are you a 'sleeper'?

The mini suspension is designed for 10" wheels..
