Thought I had better post up the brake upgrade
Went for Kad 8.4 non vented with mintex 1144 pads
I also fitted some Minifins on the rear
All I can say is WOW!!!!!! what a difference. Cant say I notice any more pedal pressure needed but the stopping power has increased greatly. Now have confidence to stand on brakes at 100kmph and will pull up quickly and stay straight.
I have also just swapped out the front cones for a set of red dot uprated cones. This was also a very noticeable change. Massive reduction in body roll without making the ride any bumpier. Attended a track day recently and was so happy with the new setup. No more rubbing on the sportpack arches.
Have just got another pair of the red dots to fit to the rear.

Im very happy with the performance of the mini with the supercharger fitted so decided to build up a new shortblock and box to enhance the performance slightly but also add a bit of strength and reliability.
For the gearbox I will have the following
Fully reconditioned box with all new bearings
Standard helical gearset as I didn't want the close ratio of the straight cut sets
Competition Layshaft
Med premium baulk rings
Med roller straight cut drop gears .958 ratio which will bring final drive to 3.3-1
Centre oil pickup
Med helical limited slip diff
Started with this oily mess
And after a lot of scrubbing and cleaning the case ended up like this
Pic of the lsd
Will post some progress pics as its assembled and also the engine specs and photos
