Firstly I wet sanded and polished the boot lid to see what sort of finish I would end up with
There is some light swirls which show up in sun but Ill work on them once all painting is finished
Primed the arches and also the seam covers
The last of the body has been prepped and is ready for colour. Hopefully this weekend.
Also found this photo of the seats I had recovered

Those Seats look real nice, big question, will it be driven to the Nationals this year in Hamilton???
That's the plan. Be a decent road trip from Christchurch.

Pete.
The paint is acrylic lacquer. Not sure of the difference between it and cellulose but thinning, spraying etc.is the same.
Yes the arches are fiberglass

Went pretty well and it should come up nice with a wet sand and polish
Put the new headliner in also
Need to finish a few bits of trim then I can get glass back in.

That's the finish from spraying no clearcoat. Still needs a wet sand and buff up.

Firstly got the back window in place. I was worried about doing this myself but it went really well
Then I fitted the chrome strip
Next was onto the windscreen. This was a lot harder to get in as it seemed tighter. Even though the seal was tighter the chrome strip went in easier than the back. Probably just technique getting better
Then the rear opening windows were fitted
This is where we strike a problem. I had bought some new front wind up windows some years ago. Had them tinted last week. Problem being someone had them made from thicker glass. No matter what I try they wont slide nicely. Probably doesn't help that I put in new seals.
Guess Ill have to source some correct ones and get them tinted
Have done some more today but will upload tommorow
