Reassembly is easier I can assure you. My torque wrench is about 18inch. Then I use a 24inch breaker bar to align to next split pin hole. Takes some effort, but doable.

It really is unfeasably tight doing them up.
Its the getting it to the next split pin hole that's hard.
Achieving the torque wasn't too bad, but the last bit so the split pin hole lined up was worrying.
had a 4ft scaffold pole on a 3ft breaker bar. Thought the knuckle was going to snap. Shortly followed by whatever part of me hit the floor.

Sorry I didn't mean to be alarmist. It just surprised me when I did it, but it is doable.
You're better off listening to someone like A cell above. He'd have done it many more times than me.
