MINI's are very sensitive to low battery power, a lot of electrical glitches are fixed when a new or fully re-charged battery is fitted, even though the engine turns over and starts ok.

Thats intresting as the power windows would be a big draw item wouldn't they, its having a good run next sunday which should get it back as it should be, I have treated it to some injector cleaner today, its not got any issues but I think its been driven slowly and not used much anyway (4k miles a year) a good thrash is in order :)

Window fixed yesterday, found the gear shift indicator had stopped working and the auto up on the drivers window was now not working! Bit of a google and sorted both , I didnt realise I could switch off the shift indicator now I know how to toggle it on/off. Window just needed the normal hold down hold up reset, the mini specialist must have disconnected the battery I think. Stubby aerial is fitted, new rear wipers, new key fob trims to replace the shoddy bmw ones, velcro clips for the mats. On the lookout for mudguards but they are expensive for clubbies!

I think so, I called in at BMW gave them the key fob and they checked everything out, nothing due for service and the car does have the chilli pack plus loads of extras too, good purchase so far :-)

Nice Clubby. I've been reading your topic to see how it went for you.

I have been driving classic Minis as daily drivers for 10+ years. I finally decided it was time to move on and purchased this on Saturday. (Sorry for taking over your topic!)

A quick picture on the way home at the motorway services.

Yeah, really good in my opinion.

Last year I started to 'think' more seriously about buying a BINI. ;D  I started to look at Clubby's as you don't see too many on the roads. (good or bad thing?)

My '97 Mpi Mini feels really old now. I used to think Mpi's were more refined for daily driving/longer commuting over carb'd models. I have experienced negative remarks/comments about my Mpi Minis so owning a BINI doesn't bother me now!

I prefer my Mpi Sportspacks (owned a '97, '98, '99 and 2000 model) and the prices have steadily increased. I started to look at BINI's and finally made the move to purchase one of those so-called MINIs.

It's a new chapter in the Mini history. Classics are great for weekend toys.

I was interested to see how your purchase went.

Good stuff. :-)

Ace Alex, That looks awesome. You'll need your own thread with some more pics of that car. Love those wheels, really suit the car.

Cheers. Yeah, I will add some pictures to my car collection thread in the 'any other project' section.

Apologies CityEPete for taking over your thread. This topic made me buy one! ;D

Haha....it's one my favourite colours. The rear doors on the Clubby's are quirky.

The suicide door is funny, you have to exit the vehicle if your passengers want out!

The back seat can accommodate three people!!!

Haha, yes the middle rear seat is only really any good if Victoria Beckham needs a lift! I love the little back doors and the fact they are not nearly as common as the hatchbacks. Have you joined the clubman register yet? (ClubbyPete)

Yeah, you don't see many on the roads. We travelled 300 miles buying mine and spotted one other Clubman!

I watched one review where the guy referred to the Clubman as a cross between a gangster bread van and a hearse for umpa-lumpas!!

No I haven't joined yet, will have a look.
