I'll just be making do with a roll of duct tape, some WD40 & a hammer!!

Note to self: Avoid AVV IT at L2B this year hehe :D

My clubbie is going to L2B this year, not driven by me but it'll certainly be carrying everything!

I saw a cracking one of these today, but thought it looked like it had a similar amount of rear legroom as the hatch?!

I'm currently debating getting an impreza estate (well I say I am debating, i mean trying to convince the wife)

The bini would be easier to convince her with but always quite fancied the wagon...

Im 6"1 and I got in back while the wife test drove it no problem, they have an extra 80mm of leg room compared to the hatch, the boot is much bigger obviously too.

Waited two weeks now, dvla said a week ago that it would take 7-10 days last tuesday starting from the wednesday before, rang today, "you should hear something in the next two weeks" what the hell! I would have bought one from the derby mini dealer instead if id known, private plates, imports, weird taxation classes etc are just an arse! :-(

Thats nice, the white suits them, it looks massive next to you mini! I hope to recreate your picture very soon but I fear it will be another couple of weeks :-( I am hoping that they are so clueless that they have actually done the paperwork and its on its way yet the people we speak to just dont know how to access the info their end, more likely they just have not started to process it. I have had a full V5 back in less time than this number plate transfer has taken so far and I might only be half way through! Just to rub salt into my wounds I taxed my motorbike last night so I could go out (which I did) that is still showing as sorn on their system so unless they update that soon I will be pulled over for no tax! I got pulled the year before last for no insurance as that had not been put on the system, even after producing the certificate at my local nick they did not beleive me for ages!

We have a V5!

Showing as taxed online but they haven't sent the disc or our new/old mot back yet, its showing as not a recorded vehicle on the mot status check so I guess that department hasn't processed it yet.

The car is still with a mini specialist having a window motor fitted too but fingers crossed I will collect it on saturday.......

Its here!
Still waiting for the dvla to send the mot back with the reg amended and the passenger window is still faulty, the independant dealer has decided to get us to take it to bmw at a time to suit us and he will pay. I know that sounds dodgy but he is a local guy, family garage since the 50s and I paid partly on 0% credit card which should give me some protection, I also got him to sign and state he would resolve the window on our invoice.

Looking good! I do like it when owners of the new ones have a little old one tucked up at home as well, always makes for good pics.

Dexter the little one gets out and about quite a bit, I think the missus will play in the big one and I'll use the old one more once the novelty has worn off, glad you like him though, dennis and dexter :-)

Its been stripped, cut and polished, wheels off for a full under arch clean and the insides of the wheels cleaned today, looking tidy. A few new thing appear to jump back to life each time I go out, the gear indicator has appeared and the stop start is working now, I think maybe the battery was low after standing for months and maybe some sytems dont work until its all sorted, certainly make sense for the stop start if its low.
