They are perfectly capable in the bends. Admitedly better when lowered but when i did a tour of Belgium in 2011 the Clubby's were hot on our heels. Nowt wrong with them.

Multi fit wheels dont look that good imo.
There are plenty of genuine wheels on the bay. If they have run flats, ditch them for a better ride.

what kind of mpg do you get out the s?!
I would love to get back into an r53, but would have to fit a dog... was never sure of their looks to be honest but the more I see them the more acceptable they seem!

The S wheels on our R53 are alright, but they're quite heavy and I'm looking to change them for something lighter, but still 17".

Good luck in finding a set of those for £150 !!

A mate has a set of S wheels 17inch normal tyres, I need to save a bit before spending though plus it has a few bits of tatty trim I need from either a breakers or bmw first, nothing major plus the wiper arms look really faded, one also has its cap missing.
These specialist MINI breakers below usually have most used parts available:
also for new bits worth trying BM Mini Parts:

The R53 isnt that good compared to the R56 S. Our S ( N18 engine ) is quite good on fuel if you behave yourself. Easily does mid 40's.

Agreed, our R53 S gets 32 MPG on a long motorway run, 26-28 in normal town driving, and 23-26 in spirited lane/B road driving.
We prefer the R53 over the R56 though, but that's a personal opinion.

My mum has a Bini Clubby, have driven it on twistys and motorway and it is capable - lots of road noise though, but that may because it has run flats? Not that lively but its a big heavy car for a 1.6 to drag along. But its my support vehicle for L2B so cant complain :)
Sorry, you have a support vehicle for L2B??
Blimey, that's flash, I'll just be making do with a roll of duct tape, some WD40 & a hammer!!
