I know there is a bini forum but I've seen plenty of you lot have a one, whats the general feeling towards the clubby cooper on here? We have a newish Focus Zetec thats going to part fund it but it was totally after getting back into the 'proper' Mini that made us decide we wanted one, the hatch was just too small for our needs hence the clubby, I actually love the rear end though anyway. Should be handy for collecting all the bits to restore Dexter when his mot runs out in september, full rebuild has been decided. :-)

My mum has a Bini Clubby, have driven it on twistys and motorway and it is capable - lots of road noise though, but that may because it has run flats?

Not that lively but its a big heavy car for a 1.6 to drag along.

But its my support vehicle for L2B so cant complain :)

I've had 5 BMW Minis to date, and loved them all.  Have had 2 Clubbies, an S and an SD and they've been great.  I love the looks and the extra space was great, got plenty of Mini bits in with the seats down.  They're good on the bends, better than the hatch. Enjoy.

Thats good news then!
I have read a few reports saying they prefer the handling, just as sharp but more refined has come up a few times.
I will try and add some pics....

Its a 58 plate (was a mobility car registered in Belfast hence the plate which might go, its only done 23k.
I think it has a chili pack? 16 inch wheels rather than the standard 15 inch 5 spokes, black roof, part leather, cruise control, steering wheel controls which I cant beleive so few have! Chrome line exterior grill and fogs, no roof rails, bluetooth, armrest. Other bits I forget, im thinking black bonnet stripes?

Nice. I like it. I'd look for some different wheels personally, but I like the car!

Thats the joys of minis both original or modern! The rims are a bit scuffed as is a few bits of trim inside, typical of some mobility cars, I will sort all the inside bits over time until mint and either have the wheels refinished or as you say get some others, its our everyday sensible (ish) car so im happy with 16s as a maximum.

It's just an opinion, but it is based on the fact the wife and I have had 6 hatches, two Clubmen, and an All4 Countryman between us. The longer wheelbase helps the car feel less twitchy than the hatch, but like I say just an opinion. I never got as far as a JCW Clubman as we needed more room, but the wife's JCW hatch was an awesome handful.

That's fair enough, I can't say I've ever driven a Clubman, but I've been a passenger in one and even then I see what you mean.

But then, I like a car that's twitchy, they're, for me, more enjoyable to drive when they're a handful.

I've got a clubman S as my daily. Couldn't really comment on whether the handlings better as I've only driven the JCW hatch. The reason why I bought mine was that they're still fun to drive unlike fords etc. Here's mine ;) ..
