Hey, as the title says, im looking for a good spray shop who can paint a complete GRP shell, inside, out, shuts etc...

I've bought the last ABS Motorsport sprint shell, and looking to get it painted a few weeks after collecting it (as i need time to fit the panels etc)

I don't really want cowboys spraying it, with it being GRP it cant be baked and if not done right could cause me paint problems in years to come....

Would love a cheap spray job, however would prefer to pay for a good quality job...

Any recommendations? Thanks

Not sure if it might be too far away from you, but you could give Tim King (of John King & Son) a call in Napton, near Southam... he's not cheap but he's exceptionally good... 01926 817443 ... he's just done a fantastic job on my Mk2 S. He's no stranger to GRP shells as he does all sorts, not just Minis... TVRs, Lotus etc.

(No connection other than being a very satisfied customer - he is very meticulous... and you get what you pay for!  ;D )

It had already been made and up on their site for sale for a while with a load of extra bits... Last one of that mold, so unfortunately i couldn't request a color... its a nice white gelcoat haha

Thanks, this sounds ideal, however its going to literally be a rolling shell so it might be a bit too far :'(

What about Daps at Surf Blue Garage in Nottingham?

His paintwork is second to none and is also a well known mini specialist..
