Hi

I've bought my self a 79 clubman a few months back.

I have a turbo mini project which I'm building aswell but I wanted something that I could use this spring/summer.

Here she is....

I want to use a 1380 engine I have sitting in my barn so...

Thought I should give the engine bay a re spray while it's out, as it's looking a bit tatty...

Also it only has a 5.5 gallon tank so thought I would replace it with a spare 7.5 gallon one I have spare :)

Here's my mini fleet lol...

Thanks for looking

Yep as Alex has said, hover over the small picture you select, then the little star appears in the top right of the picture, click on that, then click on Get Links and click on the bottom link. That auto copies do all you have to do is paste on your thread.

Small update...

24.jpg

Welded the top engine steady bracket back on as the original spot welds had failed. Was having a bit of a drama with the mig wire feed though lol.

There's a big hole in the passengers foot well that I'm going to sort out while I have it in bits and before I respray the whole car.

Thanks

Josh

Going to weld it in place tomorrow and then I'm going to do a bit more on the engine bay.

Thanks

If its the only metal you've got, grind the galv off along the edge your welding because the fumes are nasty as said ^

Yep it's galvanised! I'm well aware of the dangers guys but thanks :) I have a big sheet of it so I'm going to use it lol.

I always run the grinder along the edge before welding.

Wanted to get it done today but ended up having to work on my daily work horse!

Hopefully that will keep the MOT man happy as that was the only advisory in September :)

Next weekend I shall hopefully have the engine bay in primer maybe even paint :)

Okay so I haven't done much to the engine bay as my friend who's going to be spraying it has been busy this weekend so I started on the engine spruce up.

I got a nice parcel from Swiftune as well :)

I went for the SW10 in the end. It has a SW5 in it at the moment so hopefully it will be a bit more wilder when it's all back together :)

Thanks

Josh

Not much done today as I had to repair a few of the fences in the garden.

So I managed to split the block and box today.

Removed the cam and followers which are now for sale (SW5 done about 2000 miles)

Ready to fit my SW10 cam now :)

My mate came round who's spraying the engine bay. We've decided that the subby needs to be removed and painted as well. So that's tomorrow mornings job. Hopefully I'll be able to start putting the engine back together as well. :)

Thanks for looking

Think I'd be ditching the Metro twin hoses and using the usual conversion (or yes Mini brakes)
