Mini 25 - the car was bought by us from the first owner in December 2005, initially registered in my wife's name, as daughter was a named driver on her policy. Later it was transferred to my daughter in 2012 when she had insurance in her own name. We have all the bills and original receipts from new, including the original purchase when new.

The car has done 93,000 miles and still goes really well. We had a new rear subframe fitted in September 2007 and lots of other work was done as it was daughters daily driver. All bills and receipts available. The car is completely original but its front wings are now poor. The underside was OK at last MOT and other rust includes the usual places - bottom of door, panel ahead of the A post on passenger side, scuttle on drivers side.

It is currently on SORN and does not have an MOT as my daughter now has another car. Last MOT certificate was to 20 December 2012.

What is it worth and how do we find a good home for it??!!

£1800, looks complete, I'd MOT it and sell for £2.5+

As is under a grand, with an MOT could be £1500+ depending how much rust is fixed.

Sorry but I really don't think that you'll find many buyers who are willing to pay out £1,800 on a mini with that has no MOT, needs a new front end, and the doors reskining at the very least . If it was all fixed up and had a full MOT, then probably somewhere around the £1,800 - £2,200 mark, but as it is more like £600.

+1, at the moment it's project territory. At the very least I would MOT it, even if it fails a prospective has an idea of what's involved in fixing it up.

Thank you all for your comments which are a help in working out a fair price for the car. TamworthBay and HarrysMini excuse my ignorance but what does +1 mean for the uninitiated??!!

If people think this is worth 1500+ with an MOT then my 25 must be worth at least double if not more!

Looks like a smart little car, quite original too (apart from the changes you mentioned) which will add to its value. The interior appears original. The pictures are quite small in size so its hard to get a good look at it and get a grasp on current value though. The Mini 25 was the 1st of the Anniversary limited editions and 3,500 were made for the UK market. (not sure how many remain, I'd imagine over 500) I'd urge you to keep it although I know this is not always practical or an option. It pains me to see how overpriced some minis on the market are recently. Although it can be just as easy to under value  a car as no one in this forum likes to see prices spiralling out of control. The fact remains that mini's are only ever going to become rarer now which will affect prices.

I do think the 25 is a good long term investment, I fancy having one at some point but no room in the garage at the Mo.

I dont think anyone on here makes valuations to stop 'prices spiralling out of control'. When you have been on the forum a while you will see that over many threads the valuations are pretty accurate, no matter whether the car is sold on here, eBay or anywhere else. What happens over and over again though is that people want to believe their is worth more than it is, overprice it (sometimes despite sensible valuation) and then wonder why the car does not sell for ages. Eventually it either disappears or the price drops to what the valuation was originally. There are a lot of people on here who spend more time than they should watching the sales section and eBay and have a very good idea of what cars go for. But at the end of the day a seller can ask what they want for a car (but a buyer can choose to pay that or not).

The good thing about overpricing your mini is that eventually the market will catch up with your valuation  :D  Of course some take longer to get there than others  O_O

So what's your best guess on how long before a fairly standard project mini is worth £1800? I would guess about 2025 ;-)

That's not a standard mini, its a 25, true might not have much value at the moment but the niche market ones will eventually fetch a good return, unfortunately mileage will always hold the value on this one back but I do like them (and this one).
