140 VVC would drop in without any work ...one super quick car for well under £3k (the car plus an MGF for £350 as a donor)

Yeah you can pick up 160VVCs for not a lot less than £300. Just need a converted loom since this one is based on the Metro GTI MPi looking at the wheels and inlet, so you'd need a few extra plugs but otherwise as you say, 160 bhp for next to nothing.

One of my favourite kit cars. Only suspect thing is if it only needs tracking for MOT, why not do it?

you kind of think if it only needed tracking, you can get it pretty close with pieces of string/wire etc and as you say tamworthbay, why not just do it?

having said that though, when i bought mine it hadnt been on the road for years, and it went straight though the mot, there is so little to them, there is little to go wrong!

they are great little cars, i loved mine and wish i still had it, although mine was an A series engines one. the handling is brilliant on them as they are so light and they really are ultra low!

here is mine not long before i sold it 18 months ago...

too expensive? i dunno if i would say that, £1500 would be a good price to pay for this, and personally i think that represents far greater value for money than you would get with a mini of the same cost.

Yes you would, and probably one with an MOT and Tax...

It's too much for something which needs to be trailered...

I don't disagree that GTM's are desirable as a kit, I have one myself... I just think it's too much...

Why does it need tracking done for the MOT?

I'm always suspicious of people who make statements like that!

An MOT would add to the value hugely, you'd just do it surely ????
