Hello Chaps,

I am looking at changing direction with my current minis and because of such I will have this for sale within the next few months.

I do have a rough idea on what I think it would be worth but I may be well off with the pricing so I am looking for a second opinion.

Here is a run down of the item in question.

It is a complete, bolt in conversion from a Nissan Micra, in the sale will be included everything you need to run this engine in your car. This conversion is not from an abandoned project but from a car that has been MOT'ed, Taxed, insured and on the road for a few years now. It is tried, tested and a successful conversion. This conversion will fit under a standard roundnose.

Included in the sale will be the following.

Front subframe, Twinbolt, powdercoated (but with no arms or hubs)

Early 2002 Coilpack 1.0 engine - This engine has covered under 15,000 miles from new. I do have pretty comprehensive history from the donor car, mots, photos, purchase rescripts, even the old clocks. IIRC the car was bought accident damaged with only 9,000 miles on the clock. it runs exceptionally well, oil stays a nice golden colour, pressure is steady, temperatures are good and is all round a very good motor.

5 Speed gearbox - engages in every gear as it should, does not pop out, grind or crunch in any way.

All ancillaries and manifolds. - Front manifold has been modified to fit under a standard round nose, will include starter, alternator, and every thing else related with the conversion.

Micra fuel tank, and pump - Everything related with the fuel system. The micra tank fits in the boot nicely and still leaves a lot of room.

NATS System - The conversion is running the NATS Nissan immobiliser system which I think is a fantastic feature and of course, will be included in the sale.

Nissan clocks which include a rev counter, the original clocks from the damaged car will also be included in the sale.

Gear linkages - Modified to suit the mini transmission tunnel. all ready to be fitted.

Wiring loom - This can come complete, as it is out of the car, so that it can be wired straight into your car, IE you will get my complete engine and body loom all labled and ready to install. Alternatively I can have the Micra engine loom unwired from my current body loom and supplied ready to splice into your current loom. (all of course completed by a qualified automotive electrician)

Driveshafts - Mand balanced to fit the Mini hub and the Nissan Box.

Anything else that is imperative for the conversion into another car that I may have forgot will of course be included.

I have had this conversion in my own car for around 18 months now. I have used it to attend numerous local shows and events. I usually go out with friends in their old fords, Pinto powered and some Zetecs and it certainly doesn't get left behind.

Possibly an ideal conversion for someone who wants to use their car like a more modern daily, this conversion certainly holds its own on the motorway and comfortably cruises at 70 and returns extremely good MPG.

I am lead to believe that for a 1.3 conversion it is extremely simple and will bolt straight in.

There are a few Micra builds in the "Other" section of the build area if you would like to read some more.

Anyway like I say I do have a vague idea of its value but I do not want to mention anything just yet in case I taint any potential input.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Some pics would help, mainly of the subframe, not interested in it myself but I'd recommend this conversion to anyone and a bolt in kit like this would be ideal for someone who doesn't have the fabrication skills.

I have no idea what it's worth but good luck with the sale

Thanks jonez. Having followed your build closely I am sorely tempted to persue some of what you have done but I really do want a turbo 1293 of some sort.

I think I have some photos of the subframe during production. I am a fabricator by trade (I work for a company that produces neuclear blast dampers amongst other things) and if the subframe was bellow par in any way it would not be for sale.

For anyone who is unfamiliar with the micra conversion look through the build thread for the man above!

I have no doubt of you fabrication skills, it was more so people could get an idea of what it looks like etc.

Slightly off topic but there is just about enough room to fit a turbo to the Micra engine ;-)

Oh no I wasn't insinuating that you was! Sorry for any confusion! I will throw up some photos as soon as I get the chance.

I know, you are right! I even started the initial steps for a turbo build. I bought EFI management (which was previously running 161bhp on the last micra it was fitted to) along with a T2 and a few parts off of a figaro. I even looked at a bright pink Figaro on Copart for the engine for the engine.

I've also seen the Trinidad chap "big Cheif" or something? Had completed a few turbo conversions. Seems like there is a lot of advancements yet to come from the micra conversions!
