Had a moment of madness today and decided i didnt like some of my first load bed repairs and that the bottom of the drivers side quarter needed to come off. This was after id just taken the wheel arch out. So now half the drivers side is missing and i wanted to have the welding finished by the end of the week, gona be close!

Right well ive finished the welding on the shell so its now 100% rust free. I havent even started to prep the shell for paint and still havent really started the mechanics either. So its decition time...im really waiting on the money to finish the shell off and its going to be a while till i have it. Realistically i dont think it will be ready for B2N but i'll know for sure once ive got a price for the paint/spraying. If its definatly not going to be done i'll have to put it aside and get the jet black in a fit state to go.
Anybody know somewhere i can get a cheap spray job done?

i know its not exactly on your doorstep but i can recomend saracen spray tech just on the far side of bury-st-edmunds (01359 271228), i had some insurance work done on my jem there as they do proper fibreglass repairs....any way, the paint job was excellant, and i was quoted in the region of £5-600 for a respray, which i think is pretty reasonable these days.

Right well the guy i got the pickup off has introduced me to a guy that rents one of his barns. He restores jenson interceptors and says he'll do the pickup for free (plus paint costs) if i do all the prep in his workshop under his expert eye. Wicked! So it should be going down in two weeks time for the undrneath, engine bay and cab, then back to mine so i can put all the running gear in. Suddenly i have motivation again!

That is so good news when no dosh is involved. I owe Minimadjonesy a minor garden makeover for putting new shox on the pickup. A guy renting one of the garages where Huey lives has had an interceptor shut away untouched for 14 years. You can imagine the state it's in. Prep that, matey!
