I didn't say for a mini. A lot of other vehicles use sump plugs with a square slots, Peugeot for example.

Not sure of the diameter, but it could be one of those keys for getting out a radio if it's only a few mm diameter

Nope, it goes with your collection of home improvement/repair tools. As mentioned above it's for putting seats in faucet valves. Go to the Home Depot web site and enter part number T156 in the search field. It's cheap enough to throw out but if you have an older house with older faucets you might need it some day.
