At last, we have got rid of the Bini Cooper 1.6. ( which the wife wanted by the way !! )

I can,t really knock it too much but after a new clutch ( engine out jobby ), a new alternator, gear cable failure, air con failure, numerous dash light failures, door handle mechanisms becoming stiff and awkward to operate and the front valance coming away i can state we did not have much luck with ours.

I liked the performance and the handling but it is just as cramped as the real thing but 100% worse to work on but, that applies to most modern cars today.

Anyway, traded it in for a Mitsubishi Outlander 2.0 DI-D Elegance which is big enough to accommodate our Scottish Deerhound .

But i have still got the real thing to play with................

You certainly didn't have much luck with it. What year was it?

I thought you meant you'd gotten rid of yahoo email. I've recently been getting an absolute tonne of spam which is annoying because all of my important emails are sent to that address. I thought maybe you had the same problem and it'd be sorted eventually.

forever alone  :-|

but to add, that is a shocking list of that have gone wrong with it! You'd think that with how many they've sold and how many are produced each year these problems wouldnt exist. But I guess with all modern cars, they do. Good job you can fix the classic with a flathead and some string eh!  :proud:

My yahoo spam filter works well!

And to the OP, there wasn't much left to replace before you could call it a whole new car!

Just the power steering to go wrong really!
