For my A level RM project, I am building a trailer to carry 6 mountain bikes.

I was originally going to build everything, but my teacher sourced an old box trailer for free, so I have started the build already.

Firstly, I ripped the wooden panels off of the trailer and put them in the skip, this revealed the rusty frame that is going to be the basis.

Towed it home and started work today.

Good job!
Think it will need mudguards to be legal though

That looks ace. We never did anything like that in RM though. Maybe my college just sucked very badly...

What happened to fitted 6 bikes on it ? :P .

Very nice little build, it's good when something has a use and purpose like this, although as mentioned, mud guards will be needed, maybe make some yourself custom style ?

Once I've past my test I'll be doing my trailer license as soon as possible so I can make something similar.

Cheers,

Cliff

4 bikes were easier to fit on the trailer within the short time I had to build it + do the coursework to go with.

I'm not sure if it will see the road as is at the moment anyway so mudguards aren't an issue, though I have some ally sheet I could use

Ahh yeah 4 is more than enough ;), theory work is/was never my strong point so I forget about having to do stuff like that :P, do you get to keep this or is it part of your colleges fleet now ?

Ally sheet sounds better than those plastic floppy things you can buy!, I bodged some arches onto are trailer quickly from range rover classic rear wheel arches to pick up my first mini back in 2011   Didn't look pretty but did the job ;D

It is mine now, but it is still at the college because I don't have enough room at my house really. As soon as it comes home, I'll probably make the bike part removable so it can be used as a box trailer
