Ditto upol was the best I tried, used another and it was rubbish in comparison you can get a good finish with the upol grativex too and it will spray out of a standard cheap gravity gun so you can make a much neater job than those that splatter on and look like frog spawn finish ;) make sure you clean it out well afterwards though
I still have two bottles of some other stuff in the garage which I wasted money on .
Cheers Glyn

Gravitex for me as well. The one thing I find helps if the garage is cold along with the tin place the tin in hot water for ten minutes then give it a thorough shaking. It will apply nicely.

Has Gravitex got to be sprayed or can it be brushed on?

Anyone have thoughts on Dinitrol 455 or 457?  I have some on order and plan to use it, unless anyone has had major issues

Anyone ever use Teroson schutz?  Im in Germany so trying to figure out what is best, most don't seem paintable here  :(

that's one of the cans I was looking at here, it seems you have to mix in your paint color at 40%, doesn't seem to be able to paint over. The Teroson seems like a good product, I just cant tell for sure if I can paint it with good results, my German friend wasn't even sure if it will work. :(

Have you had any luck with Dinitrol products?

For the life of me i cannot remember the name of the stone chip i bought in Germany in the early 90's. It was definitely over paintable as i used it on my MKII RS2000. I bought it through my local motor club at RAF Gutersloh but i also bought some extra from a local motor factors so you should be able to get it.

Having read the blurb for it i reckon you can overpaint it to be honest. Yes you can add some colour to it but this statement "Abrasion-resistant for corrosion and stone impact protection on visible car parts which are painted over quickly"  to me says it can be overpainted.

Einsatzbereiche: Für abriebfesten Korrosions- und Steinschlagschutz an sichtbaren Fahrzeugpartien, die schnell überlackiert werden.

I've used graviguard
Think it's the same as gravitex but in a spray can decent finish with a couple of coats I use it as I haven't got the use of a compressor
It comes in black, white and grey about £8 a can

I think I may try some on a test piece of scrap metal and add some paint, see how it does. It has a lot of great reviews for the product and I read somewhere the company is associated with Loctite
