Price quoted seems a little steep...
I charge from 250 plus parts but not including any horrors!
If bolts need drilling out and sorting thats additional... if the heel board is rotten thats additional.. brake pipe replacement additional.. etc

Personally I would go for genuine frames... the finish and fit are far superior. ..

I was earning £39 a week when I was 17.

I had a problem with my Mini, took it to the garage and got a £120.00 bill!.

Start learning, but don,t rush in. Buy a few tools each month and build your confidence and skills.

Some pattern parts can be trouble some but not all, don,t listen to the scare mongers all the time, plenty of negative people out there, but also plenty of positive minded people.. A lot of original tooling is not available and has been lost, so pattern parts are sometimes an only option. Rome was not built in a day remember.
