Currently on a job in Camden, doing a refurbishment.
Have taken down some ceiling tiles and dont know whether they would contain asbestos.
They are a grey colour as a material.
Can anyone shee any light?
Many thanks

Can't always identify asbestos by eye, needs to be checked properly by someone.
Don't go breaking it up though, as it probably is asbestos, especially being Camden haha

Looks like normal suspended ceiling tiles to me.
I work in schools doing network cabling and projectors and they pretty much all have them tiles. As Ross said though its hard to tell from a photo.
Are the tiles like a grey fluff/furry material?

I think it's unlikely, but it's always a good idea to wear a dust mask. Call your local environmental health for advice, if it's a commercial property there should be a register if it's known there is asbestos about.

I did an asbestos awareness course about a month ago and this looks nothing like the photos. But there are loads of different types so it could be.
Remember: mask first, mask last!

It actually looks quite similar to this, and this is asbestos

The best course of action is to always assume it is in them and tread carefully and dispose of them appropriately.

also if you do disturb it, wet it down to keep the dust down.
