Wish I had the funds to be able to get a new door instead of having to re skin mine as it's a right git to do.  :(

Not far off prep now I take it?

I just need to finish off the bit above the doors, then I am going to sandblast the shell and then I can start of the prep.

I've actually managed to sell enough old mini bits and bobs to pay for the doors just about, they are probably the biggest expense on the whole project but really do make it a good job.

I'm excited about seeing it in paint too!

I did a bit more tweeting with the drivers door and I also buffed up the rear panel to highlight and dents, the straighter I can get them at this stage the easier it will be later on, they actually arnt that bad!

I've always thought it must be a nightmare removing dents from the rear panels on a van being suck a flat surface to get perfection.  Guess they all stick out rather than in if the back hasnt been lined.

Tweed grey with a black roof is gonna look gorgeous.  This makes me wish i hadnt sold my project 1967 van about 8 years ago.  In fact i swpped it for a set of alloys for my 106.  The things you do as a teenager :s

I can't believe how shiny that old paints has come up. Is that the original colour, if so, I don't suppose you know the paint code? I think my vans meant to be that colour. Got to get my saloon done first, but if I ever get the van done it might be a nice touch. Excellent work and thread by the way. Can't wait to see the finished job, might even see it in the flesh because your not a million miles away.

Also got it out the garage so I can move it next door to sandblast some areas
