Did a bit more, got started on the front end.

I got the old grill section welded into the new front panel for a start

Once I'd finished I got it bolted up to the front say and then I could get the wings and bonnet aligned

Quite some time later I was starting to get a bit happier with the fit

Just got the near side to sort now, I also got the rear arch in but I've still got some finishing to do undernieth when the cars off the jig again

Where did you get the wiring tabs from Tom?

From mini spares, took me ages to find them though as they are titled floor tabs. The old style are easy to knock up but I like the look of these, much more professional :)

I got some of the wiring tabs and bonnet prop bracket welded to the inner wing today

And the handbrake brackets

null_zpse2de33ed-1.jpg

Then I repaired the lower part of the rear quarter, I had to separate the door step from the quarter panel so that I could get the seam back how it should be (see last pic)

I got the other side lower repair panel all sorted today

Also my new door tipped up so I gave that a quick trial fit, seems fairly good but it does need a little adjustment on the hinges.

I don't think mini spares used enough tape!
