Not really sure about it as I've never used a welder, let alone a generator.
However, I have been offered a Clarke four stroke generator up the road for a decent price, and wondered if anyone has/can advise on if its powerful or stable enough?
I can't get mains elec in the garage, its in an isolated area.
The welder is a Clarke 135te, and the genny a Clarke 720w G900 (think that's its code).
Any help would be greatly appreciated, even if I am advised not to buy the generator. I can use it for other power tools like Sanders and grinders, but the welder is kinda crucial.
Thanks in advance!

What does the 720W refer to?
If it's Watts, then I doubt it'll be anywhere near powerful enough to run power tools! That's about 3 amps!

You need a big generator to run a mig due to the inrush current when you start welding.
