I'll double check tomorrow Dave, How do you find 10" ??????

Never used 10" gravel tyres, but my 10" road wheels are great.  Find the ride and handling better and more grip....but due to them being smaller overall diameter you do lose a fair bit of ride height.  If it's a smooth event i'd probably use my 10's, but for anything gravel or mud, my 12's are on as i prefer the ride height and the maxsports do grip well.

Spoke to Max Sport and they assured me the tyres have 3 ribs but do not have Kevlar

I wish i had replaced the rod stabiliser bush on the gearbox whilst the engine was out  ;(

With luck the Mini or Betty as Vic  now calls her will be moving under her own steam by the weekend   ;D

Chuck a photo up when you get them, but mine have 3 small ribs round them, and they are definately the grass spec ones.

Fingers crossed for the car moving.

Your properly right Dave ;)

Yes fingers crossed !

Should have all the electrics sorted tonight with luck.Cant believe how much the bulb holders for the speedo cost ;( Shouldn't need to dig any further into my pockets to get Betty through the MOT tho.

One concern i have is how much interior trim the car will need to pass the MOT, headlining ??? Carpets ????

Was hoping to get those jobs done building up to the Automark.

Rod, you dont need headlining and carpets for the MOT, but you WILL need them to do the Automark

Cheers Rob ;)

Just come in from the shed, brain fried after wiring up the dash.Still have a couple of little jobs to do but happy that i should still be on target for MOT.Everything works as it should finely :)

Only problem is the wiper motor does not want to turn despite fitting a new plug and socket. It was working before i parked her up 12 years ago so i think ill drip her down and give her guts a good clean up.

Over the weekend i hope to get the seat brackets welded, strengthen hand brake bracket, fit doors and windows and figure out where to mount and strengthen harness mounts.

Got a picture of the tyres for you Dave.

Im guessing they are the same as what you have, just hope i have a little more luck :)

Fantastic wiring job Rhod.....need to pull my finger out and do the same to mine....although other matters need finishing first!!

Those are the grass version tyres.....they do look awesome brand new and fitted don't they?  look like they fit 5" wide wheels well too.

Iv had my trusty side kick with me today ;)

IMG_1476_zps781b87bb.jpg

Gone through all my remaining parts and surprise surprise I'm missing some  ;( Nothing major really as i could of easily thrown them away if they were u/s.One thing i am p.1.55.ed off with is iv lost the n/s door hinges Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Iv got a funny feeling there going to be expensive ;(

Iv spent a total of 17hrs on betty this weekend wiring, looking for and assembling parts. Every minute was worth it when i blasted her down the drive sat on the spare tyre and with very little braking power. Amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As I'm running a servo do i need to connect to both inlets on manifold (MANIFLOW 5") or will joining to one do ??????? Once iv sorted the brakes out watch out !!! :)

2" Pal ;) Its a Maniflow twin box system, very pleased with it. She was singing a deep throaty number as i blasted her down the drive :) theres nothing wrong with a SU but nothing comes close to a twin choke 45 for intake growl ;)

One of the reasons i paid to have the engine build was to avoid problems like this :(

Should of built it myself !!
