ive had this car for about 3 years now but after it sitting in the garage not getting alot done i desided to get the real mini company to get the shell done and painted so i can have the fun part of rebuilding it.

So far its had new rear quaters new door skins and some other bits welded up. while the car has been at Dans it has given me time to get other bits sorted such as interior, wheels, arches, and all the seals and new brightwork etc it will be a slow rebuild though as between work a wife and 3 kids i dont seem to have much time lol.

the engine will be a blow threw supercharged 1330 with a stage 2 head and straight cut gearbox not sure what the power will be but just wanted to do something a little differant than the suck threw kit, as far as im a ware there is only 1 car that already has the kit on and the other will be jameswildcooper car which is being used to to make the kit again as the first was a one off.

The interior has been designed by me and made by Andy at optimise Automotive there wont be a back seat.

Wheels are force racing mini special split rims i will be running cooper 7.5 brake setup. the subframes have been powdercoated and are waiting for me to build the so that i can drop them off at the real mini company so the car can be mock built to make sure the arches can be trimmed to fit, i have gone for exsposed weave carbon fibre miglia arches and bumpers as well as a carbon rear valence. the front end is a 2 peace carbon kevlar front (which has been a nightmare to fit as the mould was very bad).the car will also have a full cage and will end up blue with a black roof.

enough talking i will add a link to the real mini company's restoration page and some pics that i have enjoy.

http://www.therealmi...estorationID=33 hopefully it works

Looks amazing! Mine is away getting sprayed near enough the same colour at the minute. This just got me so excited to see it done! Looks like a great project. Love when people mix things up a bit.

Hope your build goes well buddy. Sorry for just uploading pictures and not saying much about the car. I did have a build thread on here before but it never seemed to get that much response and now seems to have disappeared. The car is getting there slowly now I have most of the parts to complete it but still need a few more. I would say I have 75% of the engine now. Hopefully it will be at Mitp next year which to me couldn't be a better place to take it for its first show as Mitp was the only show I managed to take my dad along to before he passed away.

Done a bit more today. Thinking I may have to carbon all the parts on the front now. What do you think?
