Looking for some green engine paint for one of my dad's austin 7's.

I've looking in halfrauds for it, but they don't sell it in that colour in tins, only have these colours:
http://www.halfords....10151&langId=-1

The colour I'm looking for is like this:

Anyone know where I could find this, ideally not online because I need it before Christmas

Cheers,

Will

Most 7 engines were black though? Certainly all of the ones that I've worked on are black

But as a very wise specialist said to me, don't bother painting that as the paint will always flake off on them

Also, I hope those studs are going to be replaced, they are looking crusty and they do tend to break at the best of times

They may have originally been black, but at some point in this cars 86 year past it's been painted green and looks good like that :)

Just looking for a vht/enamel/engine paint supplier other than halfords really that is likely to stock green engine paint

It is quite clearly being stripped down... :P

...and the cat will be removed before rebuilding

Order the colour 'Land Rover Bronze Green'. That is the correct colour for Mk.1 Mini engines.

A really good paint supplier is Jawal Paints. They do a next day delivery and will mix to suit. In fact I ordered some Stone-Chip, Seam Sealer, thinners and BMC Almond Green cellulose paint today and they are set to deliver to me in Cambs. tomorrow.

Fantastic service & good prices.

You need either a brushing cellulose or a brushing synthetic for the engine and gearbox.
