Hello

I am sell this for my parents. It's a car we have owned since new, which is around 18 years.

It's a 95/96 M reg vauxhall cavalier. 2.0L, 16V. With only 88561 miles on the clock. Which is genuine.

It's now got to the stage that the mot and tax has run out, and now on a sorn.

This engine is shouting out for a conversion into a mini. !!!!!!

It's been a very reliable car. My parents have always driven it very carefully , it's been very well looked after , serviced every year, never been welded, no rust , solid. Still has the original clutch and still is fine.

Around 4-5 years ago the head gaskets let go at about 82000 miles , but never let to boil over,
It was fixed properly, head skimmed, everything parts was cleaned , all gaskets, stretch bolts, replaced, everything was reset, cam belt had already been done a few years previous. , oil, filters etc etc

Got it back going and it run like a dream, better than it was, my parents used to love driving it.

Recently ( with in the last 2 months)
It's had

New battery
New tyre ( which where bought to get it through its next mot)
New water pump, ( started to loose water, pump corroded) ( covered less than 100miles)
New cambelt while we did the pump. ( covered less than 100 miles)

All back running and fine

But around 3 weeks ago it started to loose water again , and miss fire a bit. So the head gasket is starting to go. And again it's not boiled over and always topped with water,
It still starts and drives but will need fixing, before using. Which is a wise thing to do if your going to do a mini conversion. As said before cambelt and water pump are new.

Other than that, the car is fine, once fixed would go straight through a mot, no problems.
Due to having a new car and my dad being retired , they only now need one car now.

We are sell the car complete, we are not interested in breaking it, this way you get all the parts you need to do the conversion.

Or can be fixed and put back on the road.

We want £350, which is taking in consideration the price in parts to fix the head gasket. Which is also a fair price for this engine with all the bits you need, drive shafts, gear change, electrics, ecu, etc etc

It's will need a flatbed or a trailer to remove, as it's not taxed or moted, but will drive on to what ever you bring,

Collection from Eastbourne East Sussex area,

Viewing is very welcome , we have a lift if you need to check the whole car over

We will be sad to see it go, it's been in the family a very long time and been very good car.
