Well I'm trying to find out where I purchase a steering column that can better align with my seating position. I have seen on a few race cars where they have like an add on peice from the fire wall to steering wheel that is angled to make it more towards the drivers door. Hard to explain and I can't find any pics right now. Anyone know what I'm talking about??

Only thing I can think of its like a swivel head socket extension but with the swivel on both ends??

Thanks

Edit..sorry, just read it again, towards the drivers door?? you want a universal joint  and weld it into the mini column like geoff-d said

Mk2 escort uj from rally design fits straight on the rack and then cut the lower outer splined sleeve off the colum and the internal splines fit into the top of the uj

I joined a fiesta uj onto my column, have a look on "my fixerupper" in the projects thread. I can now move the wheel around to line up a bit better, and I don't need to slacken the mounting bolts for the steering rack if I want to lower the position of the steering wheel. however the further to the right it goes the further away from being parallel with the seat it goes. To make a proper job you need a column with two uj's. Have a look at how I did mine but I'd like to add its maybe not the correct way to do it, in other words don't copy it exactly then take me to court if it breaks!

anyone got any pics just to make sure? I remember seeing it on a blue mini, could have been the real nice one with the bonnet cut out so the rocker cover is exposed with carbon everything, dash, arches etc...

Look at "my fixerupper", there's a few pictures on there.
