I don't disagree with anything said above, and was originally how I was going to do it.... but it was the guys at SC which suggested it... you could say... nothing ventured nothing gained...

Indeed, but I would guess that because the injection set up will ultimatly be acting like an electronic carb (like the SPI set up)/wet manifold arrangment then all the issues I detailed above are of less significance and less noticeable. Its still nice to do things right though. It would be intresting if you had the time and incling to try both set ups on the same engine and measure performance over things like fuel efficiency, driveability, and power.

So the set up I have comes form SC, the five port system. Admittedly they mentioned that an mpi/spi tank would be preferable, just that the normal tank looks still good. Was going to set it up as suggested ie regulator outside of the tank. Where would you guys recommend I mount the external fuel pump? Any suggestions which pump I could use? Will use the normal fuel line on way to engine...was thinking of getting some standard copper pipe for the main section on the way back with some flexi ends from torques....Thoughts?

The early Z-Cars Hayabusa setup (of which I have one of) have the fuel pump with built in regulator sitting up front with the fuel tank, so a very short return back to the fuel tank. Then the pressured fuel line runs back to the engine in the middle. Probably not ideal but it seems to run OK.
