IIRC is just an abbreviation.

update time!
right so i basically just went for it (gear linkage wise)
i first cut 4 inches out of my centre box to make it a flat base, then I cut that shape of my box out of the floor and test fitted it
which went :)
I'm sure you'll remember the conversation about having the way i was doing it not going to work, so i came up with this solution as i still get what i want and i still end up with a good linkage :) i.e. make the stick sit lower so less 'rod-dige' going on down there ;) lol
so anyway i started welding/tacking it in...
and before you say its not strong etc i sat on the box and it didn't so much even creak! and i took liberty of showing the penetration as well
i also ran out welding sticks (which i now have 1.6mm sticks so i will finish this of) hence some gaps still there
but I'm well happy with the positioning for it
and I've got to figure out what to do about this bloomy hole that i drilled years ago for a push button start
its a 1.5 mm out on my side so it sits sorta facing me which is what i wanted.
seens I'm only going to do it once, i thought ide try it out.
in the mean time, a broom caught my eye....
....
....
so anyway, underneath it looked like this after making the shape of the tunnel best i could without buying a dremel.
and then i started on the brace rod first so it holds it all place so i can get the gear rod in the right place when i do it. with now having picked up some nice 1.6mm sticks which are soooo much better than the 2.0 :)
which was much much harder than i first thought as i had no one to hold it from above AND central. And also had no one to put the bolts in either. so that was blooming impossible and soooooo not something i want to do again with a foot of room and to move, grind, balance, swea, weld, measure and hit things
so i ended up with this
don't worry i will make sure its all nice and strong ;)
and i was quite proud of this one :)
will finish them tomorrow and paint
finished today with a photo :)
till tomorrow!
