so here he is :)

so i started of with the wiring for the front

IMAG1723_1.jpg

and put the plug here

IMAG1724.jpg

BUT i figured out that obviously i cannot get the front of if i can't get the plug through the hole loll so i moved it

IMAG1732.jpg

and routed it

IMAG1731_1.jpg

IMAG1726.jpg

IMAG1728.jpg

IMAG1730_1.jpg

which I'm quite happy with :)

and started on the front

IMAG1729_1.jpg

 lining it up...

IMAG1735.jpg

IMAG1736.jpg

and finished...

IMAG1737.jpg

IMAG1738.jpg

IMAG1739.jpg

and tested the plug and wiring/routing with a multi meter and labelled them up

IMAG1740.jpg

and now i have to cover my hole back up lol

IMAG1733.jpg

i think it went well anyway :) next update tomorrow!!

ok so I've found a seller for some drive shafts. are these correct?

is it literally just a case of getting my mini driveshafts sleeved with these then??

update time! :D

right so i basically just went for it (gear linkage wise)

i first cut 4 inches out of my centre box to make it a flat base, then I cut that shape of my box out of the floor and test fitted it

IMAG1746.jpg

IMAG1747.jpg

IMAG1750.jpg

IMAG1752.jpg

which went :)

I'm sure you'll remember the conversation about having the way i was doing it not going to work, so i came up with this solution as i still get what i want and i still end up with a good linkage :) i.e. make the stick sit lower so less 'rod-dige' going on down there ;) lol

so anyway i started welding/tacking it in...

IMAG1762.jpg

and before you say its not strong etc i sat on the box and it didn't so much even creak! and i took liberty of showing the penetration as well

IMAG1763.jpg

IMAG1764.jpg

i also ran out welding sticks (which i now have 1.6mm sticks so i will finish this of) hence some gaps still there

but I'm well happy with the positioning for it

IMAG1765.jpg

and I've got to figure out what to do about this bloomy hole that i drilled years ago for a push button start

IMAG1766.jpg

its a 1.5 mm out on my side so it sits sorta facing me which is what i wanted.

IMAG1767.jpg

seens I'm only going to do it once, i thought ide try it out.

IMAG1768.jpg

in the mean time, a broom caught my eye....

IMAG1769.jpg

....

....

so anyway, underneath it looked like this after making the shape of the tunnel best i could without buying a dremel.

IMAG1770.jpg

IMAG1771.jpg

and then i started on the brace rod first so it holds it all place so i can get the gear rod in the right place when i do it. with now having picked up some nice 1.6mm sticks which are soooo much better than the 2.0 :)

IMAG1774.jpg

IMAG1772.jpg

IMAG1780.jpg

IMAG1781.jpg

which was much much harder than i first thought as i had no one to hold it from above AND central. And also had no one to put the bolts in either. so that was blooming impossible and soooooo not something i want to do again with a foot of room and to move, grind, balance, swea, weld, measure and hit things :P

so i ended up with this

IMAG1782.jpg

don't worry i will make sure its all nice and strong ;)

and i was quite proud of this one :)

IMAG1783.jpg

will finish them tomorrow and paint

finished today with a photo :)

till tomorrow!

I'd put the push button start in your new tramsmision box. Looks good.

Nice broom...
