Was just wondering how everyone came up with a name for their mini, and what the names were!

Mine's called Sheldon. Being the obvious reference to The Big Bang Theory and because he's a Cooper. Sheldon Cooper FTW

My Mini's name is Elsie - coming from the abbreviation "l.l.c." (for "lovely little car") ...

My 40 is called Mable - was named by Mini Mag when they had her - the number plate ends MAB. All of our minis have had names though. We had a brown estate years ago that was a bit nippy so was called the Turbo Turd (it didn't have a turbo).

Mine is called Lottie, partly because I named her after my girlfriend's name which is Charlotte and the last part of the plate is LTT.

Mine have been called...

1979 Sandglow 850- ''Marmaduke'', 'because he was marmalade coloured.

Mini 25- ''Silv'', again colour

1977 998- ''Snodgras'', from the kids program Puddle Lane, just liked the name.

1973 1380- ''Sunny'', I asked the very young daughter of a mate who I borrowed a compression tester from what the mini should be called, She said "Call it Sunny because it's the colour of sunshine".... and the name stuck

Auto 998- ''Ernie'', because the reg was ERN

1969 pickup- ''The Snark'', named by a previous owner

1979 roofchopped 998- ''Blue'', 'because of the colour, BUT now called ''Chop''- after I did some surgery

1984 998- ''The Red Shed'', 'because it was hanging!!

1984 van- ''Woody'', I painted it 'wooden' (like Chop)

1970 pickup- ''Ratty'' as I deseamed it and handpainted it in blackboard paint (my neighbours complained and asked me to park it somewhere else)

plus some others which I don't think were named, or at least I don't remember them >_<
